3-MeO-PCP (3-methoxyphencyclidine) is a synthetic arylcyclohexylamine and structural PCP analog with a qualitatively different effect profile. It shows stronger sigma receptor activity and less pronounced dissociative effects than PCP, but mood-elevating and mildly stimulating properties. In preclinical studies, it shows antidepressant effects. The substance has a longer duration than ketamine and a mania-like risk profile at overdose.
